Visual Novel Reader [Installation guide]

Have you ever regret for not born in Japan?

Oh no, just kidding. That's awfully rude and ungrateful, I'm sorry. So be proud of your own nationality and keep playing visual novel in Japanese language. How? Go google "Visual Novel Reader" and, you are one step ahead of playing VN with Japanese language.

Visual Novel Reader (VNR) is a windows app for sharing our love for visual novels, and to ease reading visual novels for non-Japanese speakers.
It supports showing machine translation over the game window. If you know nothing about Japanese, VNR could help you understand the game with subtitles. There's still several advance features in VNR, but here I will just tell you the Installation guide and how to play a game you want with VNR.

Installing VNR

(1.) You need to download 7zip (if you don't have it installed in you computer). http://www.7-zip.org/
(2.) Go to " https://code.google.com/p/annot-player/ " and download VNR from Google Drive link. Choose the "Visual Novel Reader" in 7zip extension. If there's more than one Visual Novel Reader-7zip file, choose the latest file that has been uploaded.

(3.) After downloading it, extract the file with 7zip. There you've got the "Visual Novel Reader" folder, now open it.
(4.) Click the "Visual Novel Reader.exe"
(5.) Now WAIT for a moment. Usually opening the VNR executable file for the first time really time consuming. But clicking randomly anywhere won't help anything. It will crash, I've done it before. :/
(6.) After minutes of waiting, you finally will see the first interface of VNR, the "Spring Board". Now you have seen the Springboard, next you will need to know how to update your VN game into the springboard.

Adding game to Spring Board

(1.) First, run your visual-novel game.
(2.) Click the "Game Wizard" icon 
(3.) Now both your game and VNR are running, click next on you VNR Game Wizard.

 (4.) choose "Select the process of the running game" and Next

(5.) Select your game process, and Next
(6.) Confirm the game information -> don't change anything -> Next
(7.) Analyzing the game process -> Next -> wait.... -> Commit
(8.) Finish~ :D



Now you can close your game and restart it from the VNR springboard. By default the translation of your game will appear in the upper side of your game. Happy playing VN-Lovers! ;)
